I am a Brazilian designer based in the Eindhoven region, with an EngD in Human-System Interaction from TU Eindhoven. I work on complex, systemic problems: the kind that do not have a blueprint, where technologies, organizations, and human needs have to move together. My starting point is system thinking. My measure of success is whether the work matters for the people inside the system, and often that has taken me to inclusion, because that is where systems fail the hardest. But the practice is broader: understanding the whole, questioning it, and designing what should exist instead.
I start where the system fails the person, not where it is convenient
Wicked problems do not announce themselves cleanly. I begin in the mess, with the people the system was never designed for, and let the real constraint define the work.
I connect what does not obviously belong together
The interesting work lives between domains. Innovation is mostly the discipline of joining the improbable, and then doing the patient work of making the connection hold.
I lead by holding the whole, not by owning every part
I create the conditions for researchers, designers, and engineers to do their best work, and I keep the system coherent as it grows. The credit is shared; the coherence is my responsibility.
